Shooting Diary - In the House

Day 5 - Oct. 28.2007

Our 14 hour day flew by today!

From mimosas to bruises to a ring around the moon, our last day continued to prove successful.

We'd like to take a moment to commend our Set Decorator, Kate, and our Makeup Artist, Rebecca. These extremely talented individuals have really painted each of their canvases in a unique and specific way which makes our picture pop with life.

And production assistant Adam Farrell, our ninja, who comes onto set, works quickly and quietly, does his work and leaves without telling anyone. We didn't get to tell you how thankful we were to have you on set!

Thanks to Maria, William (Nice camera work! Congrats as you continue to pursue your MFA in Film from the University of San Francisco!), Miles, Bryce, Rob & Rob for all of your hard work and fine performance as our crew members!

Shooting Diary - In the Street

Day 4 - Oct. 27.2007

Shooting in Ballard, Washington.

We have to say, the sun gods were certainly smiling down on us this week. Whoever says that it always rains in Western Washington is mistaken. It has been a clear week of shooting (it only rained once! And on a day off from shooting and rehearsals!). As the sun set, we prepped for our night shoot, the air eery and crisp, something was definitely amiss among Lissa's usual walk home from the gym.

An emotional night, director Zach Paul guided his actors to take a few chances and trust each other - high stakes and higher risks, we're happy with the outcome.

Many kudos to our dolly operator who did a phenomenal job on our street sequence.

Shooting Diary - At the Park

Day 3 - Oct. 23.2007

What a gorgeous day in Washington State! A perfect day to play at the park. Blue sky, sun shining, leaves falling. Even more, but a little cryptic, we discovered a cemetary behind the playground. A fitting setting as we approach Halloween and the end of our shoot.

Shooting Diary - At the Cafe

Day 2 - Oct. 21.2007

We were all thrilled with today's shoot! The day could not have been better. Our dedicated cast and crew worked incredibly hard at an efficient pace. We were also very fortunate to work in such a warm and cozy environment at Perche'no Pasta & Vino - many thanks to David & Lily, possibly the best restaurant owners you could ever meet!

Ashley Cozine and Brian Ibsen.

The dailies look great! We are all looking forward to our upcoming shoot days and excited for editing.

SEATTLE, Wash. - October 20, 2007

Local filmmakers began filming today in Seattle's Greenlake neighborhood. Studio Trifusion is currently producing Trust Issues by Sacha Kenton (NYU B.F.A, Columbia M.F.A., Emerson). Trust Issues is a suspenseful short drama which explores the universal relatable idea of roommate relationships.

The film is being directed by Zach Paul, a young yet commanding presence who's strong sense of pride shines through in his creative expression. With an eclectic and passionate team of five executives, Trifusion brings a clear and well crafted vision to Trust Issues.
Ashley Cozine (NYU Alum) and Kelly S. King (Emerson Alum) star as Lissa and Cory, roommates since college. Lissa is a star athlete and work-out-a-holic (post boyfriend break up). One night, on her way home from the gym, she swears she's being followed. Cory, a no nonsense, self-declared work-a-holic, struggles to believe Lissa's story and attempts to find a real explanation for Lissa's delusions.

While Studio Trifusion is not filming their own productions, the team can be found completing numerous offered services including editing reels of actors based out of Seattle, Los Angeles, and New York City. Each Trifusion member can be found working various positions on other professional sets in Seattle, Los Angeles, and Vancouver, Canada.

Trust Issues will be released on the festival circuit in Spring 2008.

Welcome

Welcome to the site for our Studio Trifusion film Trust Issues. This page will be available with updates on our shoot, post-production, and festival season, as well as updates on what our cast and crew are up to following the completion of this film.

Studio Trifusion first acquired the Trust Issues script in May 2007. In the Spring of 2006, screenwriter Laurie Vazquez encouraged former classmate Sacha Kenton to submit her scripts to Veer West Productions - a group of actors producing staged readings of plays and screenplays - for their series of short screenplay readings. VWP reconnected with Ms. Kenton as Studio Trifusion - our production company which formed from VWP merging with Orange Monster Films and Eleven34 Entertainment in November 2006. Trifusion was looking for a script with strong female leads and Ms. Kenton was sure she had one. In fact, she said, most of her screenplays were written with female protagonists. With actresses Kelly S. King and Ashley Cozine portraying Kenton's roommate characters, a connection was made, and our psychological thriller begins....

Now, as you explore this site and our film, please feel free take a minute and reflect on your crazy roommate stories. Because everybody has at least one.
